The IPSEN Earth Observation & Advanced Technology Seminar brought together government, industry, defence, and academic leaders in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for an afternoon of presentations, discussion, and networking focused on the applications of advanced technologies for critical infrastructure protection, national security, and defence. The event provided a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration across the Southeast Asian and Indo-Pacific regions.
The seminar featured a keynote address delivered on behalf of the Malaysian Space Agency (MYSA), highlighting Malaysia’s plans to strengthen national capabilities through major infrastructure development and investment in the space sector. Delegates also heard from experts representing Fugro, LC60 AI, and ASEANAPOL, who shared insights into remote operations, Earth observation technologies, satellite capabilities, and regional approaches to enhancing security and policing outcomes.

Panellists from ASEANAPOL, the Australian Federal Police, industry, and academia examined emerging challenges and opportunities, emphasising the importance of innovation, international cooperation, and cross-sector partnerships in addressing evolving security needs.
The event concluded with a networking session as part of the Women in Security ASEAN initiative, providing attendees with the opportunity to strengthen professional connections and explore future collaborations. IPSEN continues to connect organisations and individuals from across the Indo-Pacific and beyond, fostering partnerships and opportunities in space, Earth observation, and advanced technology sectors.
