Regional Knowledge Partner Announcement – SIA-INDIA signs MoU with SEPA
Following the success of the Indo-Pacific Space and Earth Conference (IPSEC), Space and Earth – Partners and Advisory (SEPA) was established to reflect activities within critical technology sectors. SEPA aims to support international market growth, expansion into diverse industries, and deliver tailored approaches to client engagement.
IPSEC 2024 sponsored five India based businesses through an Expression of Interest (EOI) process and supplied an India Space Pavilion for the three day joint exhibition with the 30th Asia Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF).
SIA-India is committed to advancing sectoral interests, accelerating industry growth, and fostering innovation through strategic engagements with governmental and global stakeholders, policymakers, regulatory bodies, and standardization entities. Its mission is to create a vibrant and innovative ecosystem for the satellite and space industries.
The Australian Government recently announced funding of A$18 million (INR 98 crore) for three collaborative civil-space projects between Australia and India under the International Space Investment India (ISI India) Programme. This initiative highlights the growing potential for collaboration between the two nations.
In the spirit of collaboration and to support longer term success as a result of these networking and engagement activities, SEPA is proud to welcome SIA-India as a “Regional Knowledge Partner” for 2025–2026. As part of this partnership, SIA-India will support Australia-India collaboration, trade, and investment opportunities. Visitors can explore more about our enhanced services and offerings by visiting the Indo-Pacific Space and Earth Network (IPSEN)
The Indo-Pacific Space and Earth Conference (IPSEC) is pleased to have welcomed SIA-India as a Knowledge Partner for the 2024 conference. This collaboration facilitated an Indian delegation visit to Perth, supported by Invest and Trade Western Australia (Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation). In preparation for this visit, an Australia-India webinar was held to explore opportunities for collaboration between Australia and India in space and adjacent industries, celebrating India’s National Space Day.
IPSEC continues to unite leaders from across the Indo-Pacific to foster trade and investment opportunities in space, technology, and innovation. The 2024 conference featured a broader scope, co-locating with the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF) and the Andy Thomas Space Education Forum, creating a comprehensive week of activities.
The partnership between Australia and India aligns with the Australian Government’s recent announcement of A$18 million (INR 98 core) funding for collaborative civilspace projects under the International Space Investment India (ISI India) Programme. SIA-India is committed to advancing industry growth and innovation by engaging with key governmental and global stakeholders.
